Arthurian Legends

Arthurian Legend, well it is probably one of the most enduring and popular fictional basis for midevil stories, and movies. Arthurian legend has existed for over a thousand years and it still is as compelling to many now as it was back in time. King Aurther and the Knights of the Round Table, Camelot, and Excalibur, never were real they just came about from legends of Midevil Europe when knights of shining armor really did exist and kingdoms waiged war agianst eachothers. Even some comedy came out of it in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

To be honest I think one of the reasons that these legends have endured so long is that they connect us to our past so to speak. Reading and learning about these novels gives us incite into our predecessors, we all are related to these people when you go back far enough. Also you can learn how they impacted are society today. For instance some kings decision back then could have help alter the way we live today.

Finally who doesn't like the action events in these herioc stories, midevil battles described in all of thier blood and gore, and tales of love and courage. It is the perfect basis for stories that last and endure which has obviosly been proven over the years.

In my most honest opinion after reading Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte D'Aurthur, T.H. Whites The Once and Further King , and others this midevil romance stories are just not my thing to be completly truthful they are very boring to me, and hard to read. The language used is very old and confusing in some of the stories.

Cover Choice

I feel that the fourth cover of The Fifth Child was the best one. I feel this way because it most closely relates to what you will discover in the storey. It shows a child locked away from society, this reffers to Ben. "He sometimes watched from four in the afternoon to nine or ten at night." pg.114 This just shows he's forced to be antisocial.

Marry Shelly

I do not think that Mary Shelly is is trying to write about frankenstein himself i just felt that Frankenstein is a good base too express her emotions and feelings. After all she writes in these dark dreary ways probably because of all the hardship, death, and sadness in her own life.

At a very young age she had to go through loss, and grieving at an age much to young. I almost fell as though Frankenstien was a way for her to tell her story without using herself in the novel. The creature too had to deal with a insurmountable amount of loneliness, sadness, loss, and greif. Likewise the creature never had anyone to look to, and either did Mary Shelly.

Reaction To The New Creature

I am not going to be to specificly talking about my reaction to the book, but i am going to state my opinion on the conflict with Victor and his decision to make a partner or not. As far as i am concerned i fell that Victor should create a female partner for his creature, because he expresses feeling and it is quit obvious that he is very lonely in the world with no one to ever talk to. Even after he saved a littles girls life she did not want to talk to him. Without a partner the creature will surely completly loose watever mind he has left. Going on destructive rampages to seek his revenge.

Likewise Victor is risking his own life if he does not meet the creatures demands and create another monster. Think of how it would fell to be looked down upon by the whole society not just a few people. There are even cases of similar situations in real life, there called school shoootings and most happen because the kids are countinouly teased and made fun of and left out. Finally it is just to much for them to handle and they snap. So making a conpanion I think is a very important part.
